La Panacée Montpellier, an artistic melting point
in the heart of the city

With its 1,000 m² of space dedicated to contemporary artistic practices, La Panacée is a place to meet and exchange, located in the historic district of L’Écusson. Inaugurated in 2013 in the city’s former royal medical college, it welcomes more than 120,000 visitors each year. This exhibition, production and even experimentation space showcases the creations of emerging artists from many disciplines, always with contemporary art as the central theme!

Art for everyone
in la Panacée Montpellier

Whether you are a beginner, an enthusiast or simply curious, La Panacée Montpellier will help you in your artistic discovery. Cultural mediators, students and historians welcome you to the exhibition spaces to guide you and talk about the artists and their works. This assistance service, which is free and accessible to everyone, is the perfect chance to reveal your artistic sensibilities and critical sense. Designed to tie in with the latest exhibitions, the art centre also offers you guided tours, workshops and meetings.

The Montpellier
contemporain concept

MO.CO is located in three sites in Montpellier: La Panacée, the Hôtel des Collections and the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
Recently established in the prestigious 19th century Montcalm mansion, the Hôtel des Collections is located in the station area,
less than a minute’s walk from the Royal Hôtel. This second exhibition space is dedicated to public and private collections,
from artists, collectors and museums among others. Its restaurant,
Faune, welcomes you in the lush green garden, for creative and gastropub-style flavours with a Mediterranean twist.
